Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Oshkosh is hiring for full-time cook positions. You will prepare food to meet federal, state and corporate standards, using approved recipes and procedures for school meals.

The role requires prior food service experience and a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:15 am to 2:45 pm. You will help with portioning, serving, sanitation, and safety while working with a team to provide quality meals to students.

• Prior food service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring temperature and presentation.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; stores or discards excess food per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed and assists in planning and records as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies; reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Maintains safe work environment and follows HACCP standards; attends safety meetings.
