Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Appleton, WI is hiring for full-time and part-time COOK positions. You’ll prepare meals in a school cafeteria setting, following recipes and HACCP standards, with shifts starting between 6:00 am and 8:00 am and finishes 1:30–3:30 pm.

Prior cooking experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided. This role offers a stable schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays and summers off, plus growth opportunities within Compass Group USA.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring proper temperatures.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized, stores items per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
