Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Oskaloosa, IA is hiring immediately for full-time COOK positions in the Oskaloosa Community School District. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm, with interviews to discuss details.

Responsibilities include preparing high-quality meals from standardized recipes, maintaining temperature and presentation, and assisting in ordering and receiving foods and supplies. Prior commercial kitchen experience is required; inventory and ordering experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience in a commercial kitchen is required.
• Inventory and ordering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with proper portions and temperatures.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and maintains cleanliness.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies.
• Follows HACCP standards and safety procedures.
• Maintains proper presentation and portion control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
