Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a school kitchen worker for Baileysville Elementary and Middle School to support the district's child nutrition and wellness programs in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

The role involves preparing meals, serving students and staff, washing dishes, cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and assisting with inventory and other related duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Valid Wyoming County Foodhandlers Permit.
• Background in institutional or commercial cooking preferred.
• Ability to read recipes and calculate ingredient measurements.
• Functional working skill to operate all types of school kitchen equipment.
• Must pass WVDE cook competency test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of work and conduct as determined by the Director of Child Nutrition and General Wellness.
• Preparation of all types of food acording to State and Federal guidelines
• Wash dishes, sweep and mop kitchen area, as needed
• Cleans all equipment used
• Serve food to students and staff
• Aid in taking inventory of food and supplies and restocks storage areas as food and supplies are received
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisors
