Job summary

Omaha Public Schools King Elementary in Omaha, NE is hiring a Backup Manager Elementary for a full-time role, starting immediately. The position runs 6.0 hours daily from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with potential 7:00 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m. coverage as needed and reports to the Executive Director of Nutrition Services. Primary duties include assisting with meal prep and service, sanitation, stock rotation, and staff leadership.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Manager Training within the previous school year with 80%+ score required.
• Ability to apply basic arithmetic using money, weight, volume, and distance.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, service, and storage of food.
• Lead staff when the Backup Manager is present.
• Rotate stock and assist with dish machine and sanitation tasks.
• Provide superior customer service and assist with reports and duties as assigned.
• May travel to other OPS schools as needed.
