Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and speak English and count currency; make change at the register.
• Valid food handler’s certification required; must complete USDA-approved trainings.
• Must possess a valid NC driver’s license.
• Education: reading menus and following school meal schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch per written and oral instructions.
• Handle cashiering responsibilities including food and ticket sales and serving à la carte items.
• Replenish food and maintain clean serving areas; monitor temperatures.
• Receive, stock and rotate inventory; set up and break down serving areas.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Assist with marketing promotions and special events for students and community.
