Job summary

Alamance-Burlington School System is seeking a School Nutrition Assistant for Southeast High for the 2026-27 term. This 20-hour/week role runs 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with partial benefits.

Starting immediately, you will prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to students and staff, handling cashier duties. Must have basic English literacy, ability to count currency, and a valid NC food handler certification.

Qualifications

• Basic ability to read and speak/understand English and count currency; make change at the register.
• General knowledge of handling foods and serving in a school cafeteria.
• Ability to follow written menus and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to students and adults.
• Set up and maintain serving areas and equipment.
• Handle cashiering responsibilities including food, tickets, and sales.
