Job summary

Corsicana ISD Transportation in Corsicana, Texas is seeking a Bus Mechanic to perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on district vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.

Requires Texas Class B CDL or willingness to obtain bus driver CDL, two years’ mechanic experience, ability to lift heavy parts, use diagnostic tools, and maintain accurate maintenance records. Flexible hours and safety guidelines apply.

Qualifications

• Requires Texas CDL Class B and willingness to obtain bus driver CDL.
• Two years experience as a mechanic is preferred.
• Ability to pass alcohol and drug tests and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and routine mechanical repairs on district vehicles.
• Maintain and service buses per preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist lead mechanic with major repairs and diagnostics.
• Rotate tires, change oil and filters, inspect belts and hoses.
• Keep accurate maintenance records for all serviced vehicles.
• Operate buses and other district vehicles as needed.
