Job summary

Durham School Services is hiring for a Van/Minibus Driver in Brentwood, NH. Immediate opening, no experience required, training provided. Starting pay is $23/hour with a $500 sign-on bonus for drivers with US licensure for at least 2 consecutive years.

Location: 127 Pine Rd, Brentwood NH. We focus on safe, punctual student transport and offer a supportive training program to become a driver in training. The role includes operating a school vehicle, maintaining on-time routes, and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, a valid state driver’s license and endorsements.
• Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance screening.
• Must successfully complete and pass all training.
• Must practice defensive driving and maintain safe driving habits.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and contract driver requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and reliable transportation by operating a school bus or other vehicle on a fixed or changing route.
• Exhibits ethical conduct and integrity; reports concerns to supervisor.
• Reports for duty on time and maintains on-time routing safely.
• Assists passengers during evacuations in emergencies.
• Immediately reports any accidents or incidents per policy.
• Adheres to policies on student and passenger management.
• Completes paperwork, route sheets, time cards, and vehicle repair requests promptly.
• Maintains a neat, professional appearance and promotes goodwill.
• Safely uses vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios and emergency gear.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Paratransit driver responsibilities may apply per location.
