Job summary

New Braunfels ISD is seeking a full-time school bus driver to safely transport students on assigned routes in New Braunfels, TX. You will operate a school bus, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure student safety.

Responsibilities include supervising students, enforcing bus rules, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting incidents. Texas CDL with appropriate endorsements and district certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass alcohol and drug testing.
• Must complete state safety training.
• Must follow district bus rules and driver procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned route and schedules, safely operate the school bus.
• Drive to/from extracurricular activities as needed.
• Inspect the bus for mechanical issues before and after trips.
• Report accidents, damage, injuries, and mechanical failures.
• Maintain bus mileage and passenger records when required.
• Keep bus interior clean and fuel sufficient.
• Supervise students boarding, crossing, and behavior.
• Communicate with parents when behavior issues arise.
• Enforce safety rules and Code of Student Conduct.
• Complete required training to maintain state safety certification.
