Job summary

Wayne Central School District is seeking a Transportation/Bus Monitor to support safe, orderly rides for students in the Transportation Department. You will help enforce bus rules, assist riders, and document incidents as needed.

This probationary, part-time role requires punctuality, a neat appearance, and the ability to communicate clearly with students, parents, and drivers. Shifts are early mornings and afternoons as listed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Follow oral and written directions.
• Neat, clean appearance.
• Must meet state transportation physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining bus safety and explain rules to riders.
• Provide written records of student discipline violations.
• Forward misconduct reports to transportation director.
• Encourage positive behavior and support students' social/emotional needs.
• Assist bus driver with emergency evacuation per established policy.
