Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a Bus Aide to assist students with boarding, exiting, and riding the bus to ensure safety and allow the Driver to focus on driving. This part-time role offers 20–25 hours per week at $15.00 per hour, with split shifts and a robust benefits package in Vermont.

Responsibilities include helping students with belts and car seats, monitoring behavior, and effective communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a background check (CORI/SORI) and drug screen.
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students entering/exiting the vehicle and securing them in seats.
• Monitor student behavior and report unsafe behavior to management.
• Communicate clearly with students, parents, teachers, and Van Pool staff.
• Demonstrate ability to install car seats and booster seats as required.
• Follow written and verbal directions from supervisors and work with school-age children with special needs.
