Job summary

Beacon Mobility is hiring a Bus Aide to assist students getting on and off school buses, ensuring safe departures and arrivals. The role supports the Driver by attending to students, greeting them, and helping as needed to maintain a secure, orderly trip.

Responsibilities include assisting with wheelchair restraints, navigating stairs, checking students at the end of routes, and upholding a safe environment on every ride while performing other duties as assigned. Pay is $16.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to kneel, bend and stoop to assist students and operate safety restraints.
• Capable of maintaining safety and discipline on a school bus.
• Excellent communication and customer service when greeting students.

Responsibilities

• Help the Driver focus on driving the assigned vehicle.
• Greet students in a pleasant manner and assist them as necessary.
• Ensure all students arrive safely at their destination.
• Perform child checks at the conclusion of every tour of duty.
• Maintain a safe environment on the bus and perform other duties as assigned.
