Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. is seeking a Bus Aide to assist and supervise students on the school bus, ensuring safety and order during transport. You will help with boarding, seating, and wheelchair transfers while maintaining a respectful, confidential, and compliant environment.

The role requires CPR certification or acquisition within 60 days, good health, and the ability to pass criminal history and misconduct disclosures. Experience in a school district is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or obtained within 60 days of employment.
• Experience with disabled students preferred.
• Must be in good physical and mental health and able to lift 50 lbs.
• Be of good character and reputation and able to take direction.
• Pass Criminal History Review and Sexual Misconduct Disclosure.
• Be dependable, self-reliant and show initiative.

Responsibilities

• Maintains order and discipline on the bus during transport.
• Enforces bus rules and ensures safe student conduct.
• Assist students with positioning and lifting in wheelchairs.
• Report violations to the driver using proper forms.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and ethics.
