Rolling V Bus Corp. assists students in safely boarding and disembarking from the school bus and works with the driver on passenger management. The aide reports incidents, assists in releasing students to approved individuals, and may cross students or back up the bus as needed.

Training provided and emphasis on courteous, respectful conduct. Requirements include NYS and Federal documentation, background checks, valid IDs, references, and a pre-employment physical with drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of NYS and Federal documents, including background checks.
• Provide valid forms of ID for employment.
• References: permit the company to contact three provided references.
• History of residential addresses.
• Background investigations: authorization for company to conduct background checks per regulations.
• Pre-Employment Physical & Drug/Alcohol Test conducted by an independent entity and paid by Rolling V Bus.
• Physical Performance Test: demonstrate ability to climb bus steps, exit via rear emergency door, and lift 125 lb. weight.

Aufgaben

• Assist students in safely boarding and disembarking from the school bus.
• Communicate with parent/guardians and school officials.
• Report incidents on the route in cooperation with the driver.
• Assist in releasing students to approved individuals.
• Possibly cross students from one side of the road.
• Assist driver in backing-up procedures as needed.
• Act in emergencies per training.
• Maintain courteous and respectful conduct.
