Job summary

Rolling V Bus Corp. seeks a School Bus Aide to assist students in boarding and disembarking, and to work with the driver on passenger safety. You will communicate with parents, guardians and school staff, and report incidents on the route.

Training is provided and paid by Beacon Mobility, with a base pay of $16/hour and a 4-hour daily guarantee. This role supports the driver on route safety, may involve crossing students, and requires adherence to equal opportunity policies and safety standards

Qualifications

• Background check required for working with children.
• Pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol test.
• Pre-service training provided and paid by the company.
• References: approval for the company to speak to three references.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in safely boarding and disembarking from the school bus.
• Participate with bus driver in passenger management.
• Communicate with parent/guardians and school officials.
• Be observant and report incidents occurring on the route.
• Assist in releasing students to approved individuals.
• May be required to cross students at street.
• Assist driver in backing-up procedures.
• Respond in emergencies per training.
