Job summary

Glendale Elementary School District is seeking a School Bus Driver/Trainer to oversee CDL certification, training, and quality control for transportation staff. The role involves conducting in-services, behind-the-wheel and classroom training to ensure compliance with State of Arizona and Federal requirements.

Qualifications

• CDL with Bus endorsements and related certifications.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Training and testing of drivers to meet state/federal requirements.
• Ability to conduct in-services and behind-the-wheel training.

Responsibilities

• Assess incidents, accidents, and emergencies and recommend resolutions.
• Perform quality control checks on driver compliance and vehicle condition.
• Lead, instruct, and test Bus Operators and Bus Monitors.
• Drive school buses to cover routes and field trips when needed.
• Collect CDL requirements and maintain documentation per regulations.
