Job summary

Drivergent Transportation is seeking a skilled School Bus Driver Trainer in Sterling Heights, MI to lead classroom and behind-the-wheel training for new and experienced drivers. You will support the driver candidate pipeline, improve the driver experience, and uphold a culture of safety and professionalism.

As a trainer, you will conduct refresher and upgrade sessions, ensure compliance with state and district policies, and contribute to driver development while maintaining accurate training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; RESA/Michigan Education Card preferred.
• CDL B or higher with P & S endorsements and DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and on-the-road training for new and existing school bus drivers.
• Maintain safe, reliable transportation for students and comply with policies and laws.
• Coach and mentor drivers to improve safety and performance.
• Develop targeted training plans and support driver candidate pipelines.
• Maintain training records and participate in safety initiatives.
