Job summary

Broken Arrow Public Schools is seeking a Driver Trainer to oversee the training of all new bus drivers and support ongoing staff development. The role ensures compliance with state and federal DOT requirements and maintains required records.

The candidate will implement the Transportation safety program, conduct driver retraining, and recruit/train drivers while teaching state certification classes as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 5 years in ground transportation preferred; 3 years in school bus transportation.
• Certifications: State/DOT driver safety certification, CDL, school bus certification and/or instructional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and trains all new bus drivers.
• Supports managers with ongoing staff development for drivers.
• Maintains records required by state and federal DOTs.
• Implements and directs the Transportation Department Safety Program and driver retraining.
• Recruits and trains qualified school bus drivers and teaches Oklahoma Dept. of Education certification classes.
