Job summary

Durham School Services seeks a Training Manager to design and implement initial and recurrent training for transportation personnel. You will supervise driver trainers, set objectives and schedules, and recruit individuals to become School Bus Drivers.

You will provide classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction, conduct ongoing evaluations, and administer drug/alcohol testing programs. CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements and SBDI certification are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years as a Trainer in school bus transport.
• CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements.
• SBDI certification required; training academy completion.
• MS Office and transportation software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, develop and implement training for transportation personnel.
• Supervise driver trainers with objectives, schedules and accountability.
• Recruit and train individuals to become School Bus Drivers.
• Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction; ensure successful training.
• Ongoing training and performance evaluations for Driver employees.
• Administer drug/alcohol testing programs with corporate office.
• Develop and conduct Driver Safety Meetings.
• Respond to personal injury/accident investigations and report to HQ.
