Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is hiring a Bus Driver in Ontario, OR. The role transports program children and parents to center activities, ensuring safety and adherence to procedures and state regulations.

You will perform daily pre-trip inspections, assist during loading/unloading, and maintain rosters and logs. Applicants must hold an Oregon School Bus Driver Certificate and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, communication with families, and emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Oregon School Bus Driver Certificate.
• Ability to communicate with children, parents and county staff.
• Strong commitment to safety and student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and timely transportation of children and families.
• Assist with loading/unloading and maintain vehicle cleanliness and sanitation.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Ensure proper use of car seats and seat belts; keep rosters and logs up to date.
• Support evacuation drills and emergency response as needed.
• Collaborate with Bus Assistant and management to maintain safety standards.
