Job summary

Enterprise For Progress In The Community (EPIC) in Yakima, WA, seeks a full-time bus driver to transport Head Start children safely. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure proper student boarding and disembarking, while following EPIC policies and safety standards.

Must hold a valid CDL with P1/S endorsements, CPR/First Aid, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and have a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid CDL with P1 and S endorsements.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and physically assist children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EPIC transportation procedures and policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain miles and fuel records.
• Safely transport Head Start children; supervise entry/exit and seating.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the bus; ensure safety gear is used.
• Notify Transportation Manager of issues and coordinate with Transportation Assistant as needed.
• Keep records accurate and timely, including emergency information forms and route sheets.
• Attend required trainings and meet background check and health requirements.
