Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) seeks a dedicated School Bus Driver to transport children and families to center activities in a safe, timely manner. You will follow state and agency safety standards, conduct pre-trip inspections, and assist with route planning and loading/unloading of children.

The role requires an Oregon School Bus Driver Certificate and a strong commitment to safety. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment within Head Start programs.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon School Bus Driver Certificate.
• Ability to communicate with children, families and county staff.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, timely transportation for Agency children and families.
• Assist county staff in developing routes and adhering to routings.
• Assist in safe loading and unloading of children.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report equipment concerns.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and capacity requirements.
• Ensure proper use of car seats and seat belts and securement of passengers.
• Maintain daily rosters and related logs.
• Assist in evacuation drills and emergency procedures.
• Support maintenance tracking and reporting for the vehicle."
• Provide First Aid/CPR in emergencies and coordinate with medical personnel.
