Job summary

Payson Unified District Transportation in Payson, Arizona, is seeking a full-time Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and on activities. The role requires a clean driving record, CDL with P/S endorsements or ability to obtain, IVP clearance, Safety certificates, and successful completion of required tests.

Training may occur under a trainee program with wage adjustments. Starting date is immediate and employment follows the district’s classified salary schedule.

Qualifications

• CDL with appropriate passenger (P), school bus (S) and air brake (A) endorsements or ability to obtain.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Arizona Dept of Public Safety Student Transportation certificate.
• Must pass Physical Performance Test (PPT).
• Must pass 5-panel and 9-panel drug screenings.
• First Aid and CPR certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school and on trips safely and efficiently.
• Operate district radio equipment and communicate with Transportation department staff.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and bus regulations and maintain student discipline on the bus.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report any mechanical issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bus and provide prompt, courteous service to students and staff.
