Job summary

Payette School District is seeking a School Bus Driver for the 2025-2026 school year. Applicants must be 21+, hold a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement, and pass background checks, drug tests, and a physical. The driver will operate a school bus and ensure student safety, in accordance with laws and district policy.

Beginning pay is $25.00 per hour DOE, with extra hours possible for trips. Equal opportunity employer; position open until filled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Class B CDL with passenger endorsement required.
• Must meet physical examination standards per federal/state rules.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Minimum safe driving experience as determined by the Board.
• Able to pass a physical agility test and evacuate students.
• Pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
• Not addicted to intoxicants or narcotics.
• Excellent driving record.
• Able to pass CPR and first aid courses.

Responsibilities

• Operate the school bus in compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain passenger safety and discipline during transport.
• Submit to required background checks, drug test, and physical.
• Ensure safe boarding and alighting of students; respond to emergencies as needed.
