Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and some experience driving large vehicles.
• Must possess valid NC Class A or Class B CDL with school bus certification.
• Ability to operate a school bus safely and follow regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate the assigned school bus on the route(s) and schedule provided by the Transportation Director.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document inspections as required.
• Maintain discipline of students on the bus and ensure safety of all passengers.
• Complete required reports and time cards, including accident/incident reporting when applicable.
• Secure the bus at the end of a run and ensure no passengers remain on board.
