Job summary

Spruce Mountain School District - RSU #73 in Maine seeks a Full Time Split Shift Custodian / Bus Driver for Spruce Mountain Middle School. The role combines morning and afternoon bus runs with custodial duties throughout the day.

You will perform cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, keep the bus clean and fueled, and assist with building upkeep. Lifting is required; prior experience helpful but not necessary.

Qualifications

• Maine CHRC fingerprinting and background check required by state law.
• Active CDL license with S and P endorsements.
• Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical exam and drug test.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance (snow removal, landscaping, carpentry, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Split shift: morning and afternoon bus runs (4 hours total) plus custodial duties (4 hours).
• Keep assigned bus clean and fueled; perform cleaning of designated building area.
• Lifting and physical tasks as part of custodial work; previous experience helpful but not required.
