Yellow Brick Road is seeking a Bus Driver to safely transport school-age children to and from nearby schools in Iowa. The role emphasizes safety, warmth, and consistent care in a joyful, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include bus inspections, vehicle upkeep, and greeting families with professionalism. The position requires a CDL or Chauffeur license, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to meet licensing standards for childcare.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physically capable of safely evacuating the vehicle in an emergency.
• Must be alert and able to ensure child safety while driving and during transitions.
• Able to meet the physical demands, including lifting up to 65 lbs.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and meet licensing requirements for childcare.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to complete on hire).
• CDL or Chauffeur license required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children to and from school.
• Follow safety procedures, including head counts and bus walk-throughs.
• Provide high-quality care with positive, respectful interactions.
• Perform weekly bus inspections and report findings to the Director.
• Carry out light cleaning duties on the bus and around the center.
• Maintain annual training hours and licensing compliance.
• Greet parents and children warmly and professionally.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.
