Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Michigan is seeking a dedicated bus driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for students, following district guidelines and state regulations.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, fueling and cleaning, maintaining order on the bus, verifying passengers, and reporting hazards. This in-person, part-time role follows the student calendar and includes benefits such as retirement and assistance programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid CDL with B, P, S, and air brakes endorsements, renewed before expiration.
• Passing drug test and a good driving record.
• Completion of state-mandated and advanced school bus driver training.

• Maintain order and discipline on the bus, managing noise and distractions while adhering to school guidelines.

• Conduct post-trip inspections for left items, damages, and ensure windows are closed.
• Use bus radios appropriately for school business.
• Maintain required records and emergency procedures, including evacuation drills and injury reports.
• Report safety hazards, repairs, and accidents promptly with documentation.
• Attend mandated meetings and demonstrate emergency evacuation skills.
