Job summary

American Heritage Schools-Palm Beach Campus is seeking a School Bus Driver to operate routes for students at the Palm Beach Campus in Delray Beach, FL. The role requires a CDL and a clean driving record, with a split shift and potential extra work.

Responsibilities include transporting students, performing inspections, maintaining order on board, and reporting issues to dispatch. Benefits include health and retirement offerings, plus ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months bus driving experience or vocational training preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Must pass DOT drug screening.
• Physical exam.
• Background check.
• All other company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus on designated routes on time schedules.
• Transport students to and from school for activities.
• Pick up and discharge students at bus stops.
• Report incidents affecting safety or operations.
• Maintain bus in safe operating condition via inspections.
• Report mechanical defects to appropriate personnel.
• Keep bus clean inside and out.
• Maintain student order and discipline on buses.
• Communicate with dispatcher via two-way radio.
• Provide updates and report emergencies, traffic, or accidents.
• Complete daily paperwork and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Attend training and development sessions.
