Job summary

American Heritage Schools - Broward Campus is seeking a School Bus Driver to operate buses on designated routes in accordance with state laws and school policies. You will transport students to and from school and activities, ensure order and safety aboard, and perform routine inspections and maintenance reporting.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and school bus endorsements, and a clean driving/background record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six months' previous school bus driving experience or vocational training preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and school bus endorsements required.
• DOT drug screening, physical examination, and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus on designated routes according to schedules and laws.
• Transport students to and from school for curricular and extracurricular activities.
• Pick up and discharge students at established bus stops.
• Report safety incidents affecting students or bus operations.
• Maintain bus in safe, clean condition and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with dispatcher via two-way radio and provide route updates.
