Job summary

Huntington Coach Corporation is hiring drivers in Nassau and Suffolk County, Long Island. A CDL license is a plus, but we offer CDL training to help you get started.

Starting pay rates vary by vehicle type, with benefits like PTO, 401(k), life insurance, and optional medical/dental/vision insurance. Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
• Possess NYS CDL Class A or B with P & S endorsements for buses, or Class C with P & S endorsements for vans (or willingness to obtain via free training).
• Able to pass a drug test and background check.
• Non-CDL drivers must hold a valid license and complete CDL permit training.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus, van or SUV to transport students safely and on time.
• Monitor traffic, road conditions and student behavior for a safe ride.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting when necessary.
