Job summary

American Heritage Broward Campus is seeking a Diesel Technician to repair and maintain our school bus fleet and other vehicles. The role focuses on electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems, with emphasis on reliability and safety.

You will perform diagnostics, schedule maintenance, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. A CDL-B is preferred but not required; ASE certification is a plus. Training opportunities and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Technician.
• ASE certification is preferred.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and A/C systems on school buses and fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and tests, and perform timely repairs.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance per Fleet Manager directives.
• Replenish fluids, service tires, and ensure safe operation of all vehicles.
• Maintain thorough documentation of work performed and parts used.
