Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition is seeking a Bus Assistant in Klamath Falls, OR to support the Bus Driver in transporting children safely to and from the center. You will help load/unload, ensure proper seating and buckling, and assist with daily classroom and bus activities that promote safety and learning.

Qualifications

• No formal education or experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bus Driver to transport children safely on the school bus.
• Supervise children and ensure no child is left unsupervised.
• Assist with loading and unloading and verifying entry/exit of children to authorized persons.
• Ensure all riders are seated and buckled in appropriate restraints.
• Maintain the bus clean and organized; help with belongings.
• Participate in transportation safety education for children.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Monitor behavior and support positive behavioral practices on the bus.
• Communicate notes, messages, and information between staff and families.
• Assist in medication procedures as directed by procedures.
