Community Unit School District 308 in Illinois is seeking a School Nurse to provide direct professional nursing services under the direction of the certified school nurse, ensuring communication with principals about student illness and injuries and fostering a climate of health and well-being in the district.

You will administer medications and first aid, maintain daily electronic health logs, screen vision and hearing, handle immunization records, and collaborate with teachers, administrators

Competenze

• Active RN license in Illinois in good standing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing may be required depending on assignment.
• Knowledge of ANA Code of Ethics and Illinois Nurse Practice Act.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of Bloodborne Pathogen Policy and Procedures.
• Recent nursing experience; new grads may be exempt.
• Ability to perform multiple technical tasks and maintain records; safety practices, first aid, emergency assessment, handling hazardous materials, operating clinical equipment and office software.

Mansioni

• Provides direct professional nursing services, including medication administration, first aid, and responding to emergencies.
• Maintains daily electronic log of student injuries and illnesses; acts as liaison between home and school.
• Evaluates health records for compliance with IDPH rules and immunization requirements.

• Collaborates with PPST team to address health and attendance concerns.
