Broward County Public Schools seeks a Behavior Technician to assist in developing and implementing targeted behavioral interventions for students. You will collect data, support functional assessments, and help create and apply behavior plans in collaboration with staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years with behaviorally complex children, and computer skills. Training in PBIS and de-escalation is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum four years of experience with behaviorally complex children.
• Associate degree or 60 college credits with at least two years of experience is required.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsabilités

• Collect data within the school environment.
• Assist in data gathering for Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Help develop and implement behavioral programs and plans.
• Assist staff in techniques to implement behavioral systems.
• Assist in teaching appropriate behavior to students.
• Be available as needed by school staff.
• Support material preparation and clerical tasks.
• Monitor data and share intervention recommendations.
• Supervise students needing intervention.
• Follow safety rules and district policies.
• Participate in training to enhance skills.
• Review current developments related to responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
