Broward County Public Schools is seeking assistance in developing appropriate responses for designated students requiring behavior intervention, implementing individual, small group, or classroom plans to ensure safety and dignity of students and staff.

The role supports data collection, functional behavior assessments, and the development and monitoring of behavioral programs, with ongoing staff training and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or 60 credits also acceptable.
• Experience with behaviorally complex children preferred; ability to implement behavior plans.

Responsabilités

• Collect data within the school environment.
• Assist in data-gathering for Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Assist in development and implementation of behavioral programs (behavioral support plans and BIPs).
• Assist staff in techniques needed to implement behavioral systems.
• Assist in shaping and teaching appropriate behavior to students.
• Monitor data and share intervention recommendations with staff.
• Monitor/supervise students in need of specific behavioral intervention.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
