Job summary

KIPP NC is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide direct, intensive behavioral support to students with behavioral, social-emotional, functional, or adaptive needs. You will implement BIPs and IEP supports, collect data, and collaborate with teachers, EC staff, and families to promote student engagement and independence.

This role requires CPI training upon hire, strong documentation, and the ability to work across classrooms and school activities to ensure consistency in behavior supports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with positive behavioral supports and data collection.
• Ability to implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and IEP behavioral supports.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral support to assigned students in various school settings.
• Implement and monitor behavioral interventions with fidelity.
• Collect and review behavioral data to track progress and inform adjustments.
• Collaborate with teachers, EC staff, families and the Student Support team.
• Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation as trained.
