Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a Behavior Technician to support students with behavioral needs across its campuses. You will assist in developing and implementing behavioral modification programs, observe classrooms, collect data, and support teachers and district analysts in delivering effective interventions.

Applicants should hold a high school diploma and be willing to complete required county training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus either AA/AS, sixty hours college credit, or a passing score on a local test.
• Related experience in behavior modification or intervention preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to participate in county behavioral training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in classroom settings as directed by the District Behavior Analysts.
• Conduct classroom observations for Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Collect and submit data for assessments to the District Behavior Analyst.
• Implement Behavior Plans and instructional strategies as directed by teachers and analysts.
• Maintain effective working relationships with associates and students.
• Maintain CPI/PCM or other district-approved crisis intervention training.
• Perform district-approved physical management or restraint procedures when required.
• Attend professional development workshops and complete required training each year.
• Assist in schoolwide positive behavior supports and individual management processes.
