Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a Paraeducator & Instructional Assistant/Behavior Health Assistant to support general education students under SST guidance. The role emphasizes non-clinical behavioral support, de-escalation, and progress tracking within MTSS/PBIS frameworks.

You will monitor student behavior, collect data, and provide targeted support in classrooms, hallways, and common areas while maintaining strict boundaries and FERPA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• If assigned to Title I school, satisfy district/state paraeducator qualification requirements.
• Experience with MTSS/PBIS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track and report student behavior data for SST using district tools.
• Provide non-clinical behavioral support and de-escalation.
• Support students in transitions and in less-structured environments.
• Follow trauma-informed and PBIS-based strategies to promote positive behavior.
