Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a Behavior Health Assistant (BHA) to collaborate with school staff to monitor and support general education students. The role focuses on non-clinical behavioral support, de-escalation, and data tracking within MTSS frameworks.

The BHA will assist in promoting positive behavior, emotion regulation, and safe transitions under supervisor guidance. Position is hourly, up to 29 hours weekly, with a paraeducator salary schedule in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math.
• Positive student interaction
• Understanding MTSS, PBIS, and trauma-informed practices.
• Proficiency with basic digital tools for behavior data collection.
• Maintain student privacy and FERPA boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Track behaviors using district data tools.
• Collect behavior data (frequency, duration, ABC data).
• Support targeted students with non-clinical behavioral interventions.
• De-escalate and promote positive behaviors.
• Assist with transitions and in non-classroom settings.
