Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Classroom Technician to provide behavioral support services in a school setting. This role is based in San Bernardino, Upland and surrounding areas, offering $20–$25 per hour and weekly pay.

You will support students with classroom activities, implement behavioral plans, assist during crises, and document care while coordinating with Amergis staff to confirm weekly schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Current TB skin test or chest X-ray.
• Health certificate, if applicable.
• Completed Amergis onboarding and testing process.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and behavioral assistance to assigned student(s).
• Support students with classroom activities, grooming, toileting, ambulation, and meal prep.
• Implement behavioral plans and interventions.
• Assist in managing difficult behaviors and crisis situations.
• Document care and complete incident logs.
• Communicate with Amergis office staff and coordinate weekly schedules.
• Adapt to assignment changes as requested by clients.
