Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated TVI for a full-time, school-based role in Corinth, Kentucky. The position involves on-site instruction and collaboration with families, educators, and related-service professionals to help students with visual impairments access the education environment.

Responsibilities include providing direct and consultative services, developing IEPs, completing assessments, and coordinating with school staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field is required.
• Current or eligible Kentucky Education Specialist Instruction Credential – Visual Impairments is required.
• Meets Kentucky Basic Skills Requirement.
• Experience with children or young adults who are blind or visually impaired is preferred.
• School-based experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative educational services to students who are blind or visually impaired.
• Develop and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Conduct educational and vision-related assessments within TVI scope.
• Evaluate student progress toward IEP goals.
• Provide specialized instruction tailored to each student’s needs.
• Support access to curriculum, materials, and assistive technologies.
• Participate in IEP and team meetings; collaborate with families and staff.
