Job summary

Excel Academy in Massachusetts is seeking a contracted Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instructional services to students with visual impairments. Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts TVI license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and consultation to two students with visual impairments per IEP goals.
• Conduct functional vision assessments and contribute to IEP planning and progress monitoring.
• Recommend and support adaptive equipment and accessible materials (braille, large print, digital).
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and student support staff for consistent implementation of accommodations and strategies.
• Train staff and families on techniques and tools that support independence and access.
• Document services delivered and submit timely progress reports.
