Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a School Based Therapist in Independence, MO. The role involves diagnostic interviews, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions for students, with telehealth options and a strong emphasis on collaboration with school teams.

Licensure in MO is preferred and flexibility for multi-state license is encouraged. You will participate in comprehensive training, receive generous PTO, and engage in ongoing clinical supervision to support growth and quality

Qualifications

• Holds licensure with the applicable board for the service state.
• Willing to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• Willing to provide telehealth services to clients.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: perform diagnostic interviews and gather case histories.
• Case formulation: tailor treatment plans to client needs and context.
• Intervention: apply modalities and adjust strategies as needed.
• Monitoring progress: review outcomes and modify plans accordingly.
• Documentation: maintain accurate records per laws and policies.
• Referral: build networks for appropriate specialist referrals.
• Administrative tasks: scheduling, billing, and compliance.
• Professional growth: pursue ongoing development in the field.
• Preventive care: support community mental health initiatives.
