Easterseals MORC is seeking a School Based Therapist to support students in the Anchor Bay School District from Center Line, MI. The role requires LMSW or LPC licensure and a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling.

A sign-on bonus may be available based on role and eligibility. The Therapist will provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and coordination with families and school staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possess a Master’s degree in Social Work; AND Have an LMSW from the State of Michigan; OR
• Possess a Master’s degree in Counseling; AND Have a (LPC) from the State of Michigan AND
• Must meet qualifications of a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and/or Mental Health Professional (MHP) per the Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualifications per Medicaid Services

Job Duties

• Provides individual and/or group consulting to school district staff using mental health consultation best practices.
• Provides on-demand crisis intervention with partnering districts.
• Provides individual, group, conjoint or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their family.
• Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with grant/funder requirements as well as Easterseals MORC policies and procedures.
• Conducts clinical assessments, develops diagnoses, and participates in developing person/family centered treatment plans with client families. Monitors client progress and coordinates appropriate behavioral health and other needed services including, but not limited to, community coordination, outreach, and referrals.
• Willingness to support and assist individuals served with trauma related issues utilizing TFCBT, CBITS, Prime for Life and/or trauma-informed practices.
• Attend school meetings/provide consultation regarding mutual individuals served
• Provide community trainings and/or participate in community/school events to promote Easterseals MORC services
• Use data to make caseload decisions; determine training needs within a school/community
