Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Cleveland, OH is seeking a full-time Therapist for the STAR School Based Team to provide counseling, advocacy and community support to youth and families. The role requires a Master’s in Social Work and licensure, with up to 25% travel, and offers a competitive salary plus productivity bonuses.

Responsibilities include delivering individual/group/family mental health services, coordinating care across systems, and ensuring timely documentation.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
  • 2 years of work experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
  • A valid advanced professional license as required and acceptable by state or contract regulations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services to meet outcomes.
  • Travels to provide community-based services for youth and families in compliance with requirements.
  • Completes all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintains productivity thresholds and coordinates services across mental health, medical, educational, and social domains.
  • Reviews and updates youth-based plans to ensure progress and progress toward goals.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with foster parents and families.
  • Assists in family reunification and stabilization as per plan.
  • Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization as needed.
  • Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities and weekly supervision.
