Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health seeks a School Based Therapist to deliver on-site counseling within Howard/Cooper County public schools during normal school hours. Qualifications

• Master's degree in licensure-eligible field (Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work).
• Actively licensed as (or on track to become licensed as): PLPC.
• Licensed professional credentials LPC/LMSW/LCSW/LMFT are listed as eligible.
• Experience in school-based behavioral health is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized counseling to students at the school site during operating hours.
• Manage a caseload per supervisory guidelines.
• Support academic success through prevention, intervention, and collaboration with school staff.
• Participate in collaborative treatment planning and staffing sessions.
• Provide emergency response and follow-up care as needed.
• Coordinate access to community resources for students and families.

Education

Master's degree in licensure-eligible field (Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work)
