Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a School Based Therapist to provide on-site counseling and case management in Howard/Cooper County schools. You will build a caseload, participate in collaborative treatment planning, and coordinate access to community resources during school hours.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a licensure-eligible field and active licensure or progress toward licensure (PLPC/LPC/LMSW/LCSW/PLMFT). A driver's license and prior therapy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a licensure-eligible field such as Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
• Active licensure or on-track status for PLPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or PLMFT/LMFT.
• Experience in family, individual, and group therapy preferred; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Individualized counseling provided on-site during school hours.
• Caseload management aligned with supervisory guidelines.
• Academic success support and coordination of services.
• Collaborative treatment planning with school and family teams.
• Emergency response and follow-up to ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate community resources and liaise with school counselors.
• Conduct clinical assessments and deliver appropriate interventions.
• Serve as liaison to ensure access for all family members.
