Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) provides in-district and standalone schools for K-12 students needing behavioral and emotional supports.

Therapists work as part of multidisciplinary teams to deliver individual or group counseling and support families and school partners. The role requires LIC/LCPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT or LMHC licensure, a Master’s in a related field, and at least 2 years in school or behavior health settings.

Qualifications

• Licensure as LPC/LCPC, LCSW or LMSW, LMFT or LMHC required.
• Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field.
• Two years of experience with children/adolescents in school or behavior health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse students from different backgrounds.
• Provide individual, group, or push-in counseling per IEP/BIP.
• Collaborate on creating IEPs and social-emotional goals.
• Complete social-emotional and behavior assessments and analyze data.
• Implement behavior management and crisis interventions to keep students safe.
• Support social-emotional learning through curricula and targeted support.
• Provide in-service training with other teams.
• Collaborate with external partners and providers to support students and families.
• Maintain student files per regulatory requirements.
